Who
We Are

Canada Works is a collaboration of leading labour unions – large and small - active in all sectors of the economy who share a passion for advancing positive, partnership-based labour relations. We believe this approach is better for workers and better for society. If the labour movement is to be relevant in the 21st century and beyond, it must change to meet the challenges of a changing economy and evolving expectations from workers.

What
We Do

Canada Works is committed to revitalizing unionism. Our member organizations are passionate about driving this evolution in labour relations. Through the work of our Standing Committees, we are advancing a model that fosters shared prosperity through partnership, innovation and choice.

Members of Canada Works believe that the progressive union movement needs to actively work to help shape legislation and public policy to the betterment of workers and to society at large. To that end, we develop and nurture relationships with key regulatory agencies and government stakeholders municipally, provincially and federally. And we will provide input on a range of topics and issues when we believe that doing so advances the Council’s values.
